Re: smile smile smile Join "My Online Team" Today smile smile smile

To all of my team mates --

I thought that I would update you on what's going on with me. I saw my doctor on Tuesday and he was pleased with my progress. He had the catheter plugged and after drinking about 2 quarts of water (I thought I was going to burst), I was able to use my natural plumbing again, so it appears that the blockage has been relieved. This week I am to continue to keep the catheter plugged and keep records. I return to see the doctor again next Tuesday and may have the catheter removed from my abdomen. So, no bladder cancer and no permanent problems from the surgery.

Now that I am on the mend, I got a call this evening from one of my sons who told me that the third of my four sons who is now 29 was admitted to the hospital today. This morning at work, his heart seemed to be racing and he spent the entire day in the emergency room. At this point the thinking is that he may have had a reaction to some over the counter cold medication he is taking, but they are not taking any chances and will be running tests on him tomorrow (a stress test, ekg, etc.) just to be certain. It was a bit of a scare, but is now sounding like he will be all right. I think that my family is now beginning to sound a bit like one of the hospital serials on TV.

I do want to thank all of my team mates for the kind words and prayers over the past year as I have gone from one medical problem to another. To use a term used by Queen Elizabeth a few years back in her annual Christmas Message, I would say that 2005 was my annus horribilus. With the year that was, the year that is to be will have to be an improvement.

Your team mate,

Morning Dave

Hope you get better news about your Son today. 2005 was just a lousy year all round starting just a few days earlier with the Boxing day Tsunami. A year of Storms, Terrorists, Wars and Earthquakes

Like you say here's to a brighter 2006

Like I said, I've added a couple boxes to the mix. Also, I found out that a whole slew of users were actually doing the right thing all of a sudden and logging out of their systems for the day when they go home, which of course killed WCG! Why they chose to suddenly start doing what I had been asking for years is a mystery.

I set the grid client to run as a service, so now things should be cooking all night, logged in or not. :-) That should help quite a bit, I think. I wonder how long this abberrant good behaviour has been going on?!?!

Dave --

Thanks. Much better news today. He has been released from the hospital and there are no signs that he suffered a heart attack. The doctors think that the over the counter cold medication he was taking was the cause of his heart racing.

CompuDude that just not right, what's IT if it's not for taking liberties with wink

Graham I'd go with Big VAIO it sounds like you been hijacked by another thread. (I'll bet it's a spyware catcher)

That's good news Dave. My younger Brother suffers from something very similar, every now and again they zap him back to 60 Beats a minute. Hopefully they will sort him out this year. Glad your Son is OK though.

It's been a quiet day today biggrin

Dave
