Yo

And playoffs would be the semi-finals in UK Speak?

biggrin

Dave --

Most of us couldn't totally explain the playoffs. I suspect they are what you call the semi-finals. Perhaps the explaination in Wikipedia would be the best source.

Dave I thought you were kiddling

I think I understand it now - where's my free entry to mensa?

So there are up to 4 matches to play including the SuperBowl

But you might be lucky and have a by in teh first round and only have to play 2 matches before playing in the SuperBowl

Yes? No?

Confused of West Sussex England.

Still at a loss to where those points have gone, but there's always tomorrow

Sorry Team apologies for what I just said I'm an idiot

We made 226,938 points yesterday

226,938 points in a single solitary day

9455 points per hour

157 points per minute

2.6 points per second

to put into perspective a 3200+ Athlon XP makes 29.4 points per hour

to bag 226,938 points in a single day you would need to be running a 1030000+ Athlon XP pushing out 1.1TFlops to get a score like that.

Please if I ever do this again please feel free to kick me up the behind blushing

Your sometimes stupid team captain

Dave --

I think you've got it! I sketched it out on paper and the first two seeded teams get a by the first week. After the wild card games involving the 3rd seed against the 6th and the 4th seed against the 5th, there will be four teams left. Seed 1 plays the winner of one of the wild card games and seed 2 the other. Now there are two teams left. They play the 3rd week for the Conference Championships. The Conference Champions then meet in the Superbowl. If a wild-card team makes it to the Superbowl, they will have played a total of 4 games including the Superbowl. If any of the teams seeded 1st or 2nd in their conference make it to the Superbowl, they will have played a total of 3 games including the Superbowl.

I think entry into mensa should be by default for understanding that -- LOL.

Re: smile smile smile Join "My Online Team" Today smile smile smile

Morning!

I read a couple of comments here about the dip in stats over the New Year - so had a look at my reports on WCG. Yesterday I had a blank task that took 24 hours to run on my PC. I have been running my home PC overnight during the last couple of days, so it has been on for 24 hours a day. This doesnt seem to match the report at all:

01/02/2006 0:001:02:54:21 1,027 2
01/01/2006 0:000:06:29:50 234 1
12/31/2005 0:001:13:49:38 1,432 3

I am a little confused. Is thsi down to the UTC/GMT time difference or something else?

Matt --

This looks perfectly normal to me. The statistics report shows the work completed on each day. On 12/31, you completed 3 work units that took 1 day and 13 hours to complete (obviously one of those had to have started prior to 12/31). At some point early on 01/01, you completed the next work unit that took only six and a half hours (it had started before the end of 12/31). By 06:00 GMT today, you had completed the next work unit that was started on 01/01 plus another work unit. The two that had completed by 06:00 today had taken 1 day and nearly 3 hours to complete. If you go to "Device Installations" on your "My Grid" page, you can actually see the time each of your devices last completed a result.
