Re: Protein Folding question

Hi Darko S,
Nobody has said anything, but I suspect that we are rationing HPF work units to make sure that we do not run out before FAAH is boarded to run on BOINC.

Just a guess on my part.

It appears that WGC switches to AIDs project automatically for the users upon downloading a new WU. My PCs with windows are now all on AIDs project and I've do nothing to make the switch.

For Linux is concerned, the project name is just "World Community Grid". I've been told that these are on FD project.

It may appear that way, but I have had a mix of work units between the two projects. I have had far more of the FAAH than the HPF, but, nonetheless, I am seeing work units from both projects.

Re: Protein Folding question

I went to My Projects in My Grid and chose to contribute solely to Human Proteome Folding, and all my devices seem to be continuing on that project as expected. I think the default is to contribute to all projects unless you specifically choose otherwise in My Projects.

Re: Protein Folding question

When the FightAIDS@Home project was launched, all members were opted in to the project in addition to the Human Proteome Folding project. The work units are distributed randomly between the two.

If you would like to opt-in or out of one or the other, go to the My Projects page and set your preferences accordingly.

Note that since FightAIDS@Home is currently only on the UD platform, the My Projects settings do not have an effect on BOINC users.
