received 19 new ones. Before this latest drought had increased my cache from 1.00 to 2.50 days so may survive this latest episode...

Because of the way the BOINC client keeps extending the re-request interval whenever there's no work provided, only one of my systems got anything from the 01:xx UTC bonanza (and it wasn't one of my more powerful systems...) -- I got 22 new tasks at 01:22:24 and a further 10 (bringing me up to my profile limit for that machine) at 01:24:33.
I'd love to know what on earth is going on with this "other platforms" situation and the apparent problems with validating results for any WUs where a result is returned 4(?) or more days after issue... That said, assimilations do seem to be happening, but only for tasks that validated promptly! Cheers - Al. |

Does anyone have info on what appears to be a log-jam on the WU validation rate? Yesterday afternoon I had roughly 1900 in PV - this morning it's risen to over 2000 - I seem to be processing faster than the rate of validation!!!! Is this related to the glacial rate of WU issue?
----------------------------------------I also note that I have PV'd WU's dating back to August - before the stoppage and server transfer - I wonder if they will ever be processed? ![]() |

I notice I am getting a regular supply of work for Windows in a VM and for Android but nothing for Linux for almost a day now.

I notice I am getting a regular supply of work for Windows in a VM and for Android but nothing for Linux for almost a day now. Interesting -- if that's the case for all users and it's not all retries, it might explain the recent lack of user complaints If any of our other Windows/Android regulars can confirm that the drought is currently confined to Linux, that might help get some sort of resolution. If this is happening because of some action (accidental or deliberate!) on the part of WCG -- based on user numbers rather than user performance, perhaps -- it needs a review ...Cheers - Al. P.S. I wonder whether Windows and Android users experienced a drought whilst Linux users got work for that [brief] period early this morning (UTC)? Thanks to Adri for adding another 4 minutes or so to the length of the period of availability in the post two above this one ![]() [Edited to mention retries] [Edit 1 times, last edit by alanb1951 at Nov 26, 2025 4:25:02 PM] |

On Windows: Nothing, except one single "new" task at 2025-11-26 01:26:03 UTC.
----------------------------------------Before that one, the last "new" task was received at 2025-11-25 08:10:13 UTC. Edit, added: I'm changing my settings for <no_alt_platform> to 0, from 1, so I can see the "Tasks are committed to other platforms" message, and maybe also get at least a few x86 resends, or "new" tasks ![]() Edit added 2: Done, and now I'm getting the "Tasks are committed to other platforms" message, but no new tasks, Not that I expected any, but now at least, I can get x86 tasks, if any are available.
