Just for general information -- it appears that the due dates for results not yet returned have, indeed, been moved forwards [again] as per the September 4 Operational Status note. Hopefully that means we should soon see the scheduler responding to requests again, though I wonder whether they'll feed in new work before there has been a chance to clear the uploading and reporting backlog (which is likely to be quite large...)
----------------------------------------Cheers - Al. P.S. the certificate chain issue that I mentioned elsewhere seemed to be resolved early this morning (UTC), confirmed by Adri in a post in the last version of this thread. [Edit 1 times, last edit by alanb1951 at Sep 18, 2025 8:11:30 PM] |

New update
September 18, 2025 Forum issues detected. Sorry about these problems starting so soon after we came back - but - hopefully Dylan resolved them now. It all related to an AutoMaint features of DB2. Likely, database went into one of the scheduled maintenance tasks, MVNForum tried to talk to the database, didn't work, MQ blocked MVNForum and the lack of perms on the queue showed up as this init check failure. |

The Current "Time Due" for my 956 "In Progress" WU's range from 2025-09-18 through 2025-09-22. Those extras were downloaded just prior to the move.
Based on the "Global Statistics" screen: Statistics last updated: 8/31/25 00:06:03 (UTC) [458 hour(s) ago] And my "Overview" screen still shows: Last updated Aug 31, 2025 - 00:06 UTC I believe the initial hurdle was focused on just getting the web site visible and the forums accessible - which has been accomplished THANKS TO ALL WHO CONTRIBUTED! The next and continuing task, I expect, is to get the functionality of the WU processing back online which should also address my comments above. And I wonder if the maintenance work planned for next week is the reason that the functionality is not yet active or if there is something else going on. I look forward to continuing to contribute. |

Regarding getting BOINC back online...
They've ticked off making sure most results that haven't reported in should not trigger retries for No Reply, so that's one of the things they mentioned. I'm not sure what else might delay a partial restart, but issuing new work might take a little longer... On which note, there's a phrase in the Operational Status item for 2025-09-17 -- "we also want to finish our start of the MAM project" -- that has me wondering about the launch of Mapping Arthritis Markers... Is that to be taken as meaning it is going to kick off without any further Beta testing? I note that MAM now shows up in device profiles, but there's no mention of it in the System Requirements page (which needs a serious update anyway, as it still refers to HSTB and SCC1...). I notice that it has an empty entry in the Help section, which will eventually need to include some information about running multi-threaded tasks on a BOINC client, in case users who use app_config.xml files can mess up MAM1 by specifying their own nthreads parameters. (And yes, that means people like me!) Reading the Operational Status report regarding MAM1 (2025-08-27), if's difficult to decide whether that meant there would be any more Beta testing. We shall see... Interesting times :-) Cheers - Al. |

With age comes patience, and I have tons of patience. Whining doesn't make the BOINC part of WCG come back faster. So, I'll check my BOINC from time to time, and then just find something else to do. Helping my even older neighbours, is one thing I can do.

The due times have been extended by four more days.
My oldest tasks are now due on Monday 22 September (2025-09-22 04:56:57 UTC). Adri |

I hope launching a new subproject (MAM1) is slightly lower priority compared to restoring all service related to the infrastructure migration. We all still have tons of outstanding uploads let alone all validation and verification.
----------------------------------------Same with the backlog of validated tasks that haven't been assimilated and purged... I think in the past (early 2025?) the backlog got to be several months, and I assume that eats up disk space like crazy. I'm excited for the launch of MAM1 and for more diversity, but we need full stability first.
