Re: Project Status (First Post Updated)

I wasn't expecting the Spanish Inquisition Graham Cluster to Nibi Cluster Migration of 2025. Wasn't on my WCG Bingo card.

Another couple weeks and I'll have my first 20 year badge (MCM), so woohoo.

Looks like the servers are down again,
There's another update about this on the Jurisica Labs WCG page now; I suspect savas may post a version of it to the forums as and when it looks as if things have stabilized...

Work is flowing again, but as yet I see no signs that the backlog of WUs stuck at Pending Validation has started to clear (it hadn't before this server crash, and this restart is recent at the time I posted this...)

Cheers - Al,

Re: Project Status (First Post Updated)

That Operational Status update from March 1 was informative (as they all are). It's cool to see WCG moving to something modern like Kubernetes.

Edited to Add: @Unixchick, I appreciate your work updating the heck out of this and other Project Status threads. "Edit 4561615 times" makes me chuckle.

Re: Project Status (First Post Updated)

I'm loving the detailed updates from Savas, and I really appreciate the work on the weekend to get us some MCM and to keep the trickle of ARP flowing.

I'm looking forward to the tech team not having to band-aid the old system.

I've also updated the link in the first post to Mike's ARP update. I'm glad they are still sending out a limited supply of ARP WUs,.

I'm going off grid for a few days, so hopefully when I get back I can get a few ARPs.

Re: Project Status (First Post Updated)

Savas did some good stuff this weekend.
The amount in PV-jail is clearing in a good pace.

Very nice work - thanx!!!

Re: Project Status (First Post Updated)

Also, tasks will not report and results web page is unresponsive.
Cheers,

Re: Project Status (First Post Updated)

The support APIs that I use for stats gathering started reporting errors around 06:30 UTC, and the Feeder not running messages started to appear at the same time. With the APIs unresponsive, there's no point looking at the results pages, so I haven't even tried that :-)

The "swagger" interface to the APIs returns a JSON file containing an error message, the gist of which is "Unable to acquire JDBC Connection" -- here we go again :-(

I also note that the mid-day statistics aren't being reported. It is unclear whether they haven't run or whether it's just the Project History data linkage that is (temporarily?) unavailable; unfortunately, I suspect the former...

Finally, an effort to acquire the three ARP1 stats text files comes up with empty files, another indicator that database linkages appear to have been severed.

I don't envy Tech Team having to sort this out -- I just hope it isn't yet another deceased server, as I get the impression [from the latest WCG operational status report] that those are in short supply at present...

Cheers - Al.
