Re: Project Status (First Post Updated)

The dam suddenly burst, and now I'm almost drowning in MCM tasks.

Re: Project Status (First Post Updated)

I did some more snooping on the server pages. We are on the Graham cluster now . These are older machines that aren't in the best condition, and thus we have failures that are causing the problems we are seeing. Good news, they have a plan, The Nibi cluster is replacing the Graham cluster. There is a limited supply of power, so they have shut down most of the Graham cluster (25% left running), to test and build the Nibi cluster. All this sounds good until I get to this line in the docs "It is expected that Nibi will come online by July 1, 2025" I truly hope Mr. Scot from the Enterprise is working on their team because I really want them to beat that July 1 estimate.

Re: Project Status (First Post Updated)

Thanks for the update. 4 months is a long time. I hope they spend some of it solving ARPs stuck unit problem. Meanwhile MCM seems to be flowing well.

Re: Project Status (First Post Updated)

I notice that although we are getting new MCM1 work again (and I've seen a few retries as well), there doesn't seem to be any work for the "0 mod 4" WU range, which is also the modulo group of the vast majority of the WUs stuck in PVal jail (if my collection of around 700 is typical...) -- that 700 is the equivalent of two full days of MCM1 from my systems on a good day, by the way.

I also have several "0 mod 4" results where my wingman has a missed deadline error but no retry has been issued. Perhaps the problems with that group are not the same as for the "not divisible by 4" cases (I think I'll ask in that savas notification thread if the promised update doesn't explain that in some fashion...)

Ah, well; here's hoping they can now manage to keep things alive more easily in the run-up to being able to run on better equipment.

Cheers - Al.

[Edited to clarify the "I think I'll ask" remark...]

Re: Project Status (First Post Updated)

There is something goofy going again. At least they seem to be issuing new MCM work units. However, there seem to be no resends. I have some units awaiting validation which I finished on Feb 18. The other work unit ended in an "error" also on Feb 18. There has not been a any resend sent as of this date, which is 10 days later. Once again, something is awry.
