The website is a bit laggy for me. Is it just me?
My list of results is "stale" . old WUs that have been declared valid haven't been cleared after 24 hours. I don't have any ARP WIUs. It looks like they are flowing ok, but none for me. |

The website is a bit laggy for me. Is it just me? It appears that something has been "kicked" at around 16:40 UTC -- an edit I loaded just before then took a while to load but posted almost instantly a few minutes later! :-) My list of results is "stale" . old WUs that have been declared valid haven't been cleared after 24 hours. I normally find it takes up to two days (one for initial assimilation, then one more before database purge (which allows some late returners to also validate and assimilate!) -- however, at present some WUs with No Reply results do seem to be taking over two days to get purged. (This seems to apply to MCM1 only...)I'm not seeing any evidence of severe interruptions to assimilation or file deletion at present (says he, having just run updates on his monitoring scripts, and hoping that's not jinxed it!) I don't have any ARP WIUs. It looks like they are flowing ok, but none for me. I'm not convinced that there has been much available to send over the last few days; I've not been able to keep any of my systems topped up full time (and that means 4 or 5 tasks per system -- 18 in total, for a peak return of just over 30 results a day -- so not exactly demanding!)...The "average hours to complete" is hovering around the 3.5-day mark and the number of extra results is around 3% to 4% of total results returned per day (any mapping to WUs completed would only be approximate; because I think it counts them as they validate so late returners may get counted up a day or two later!); these tend to suggest that there are a lot of users taking four or more days to return ARP1 results, so it looks busy but... (By the way, I suspect the percentages of longer return times may differ from platform to platform; I don't see such high proportions of missed deadlines and late returners on Linux, though my daily sample size isn't very large...) Unfortunately, I don't think there's any accurate way of finding out how many WUs are being released on an hourly basis -- it's possible to dig that out of the BOINC database with some custom queries, but even the standard status page didn't offer that statistic! Ah, well -- given the comments in the 17th April Operational Status report it appears we can hope for better things, possibly even before the return to full data centre service :-) Cheers - Al. [Edited to add peak results buffered/returned counts and the per-platform comment] [Further edit to note that web-site responsiveness seems to have returned...] [Edit 2 times, last edit by alanb1951 at Apr 23, 2025 4:47:12 PM] |

Looks like windows beta MAM WUs are going, or have gone out.
ARP WUs are flowing ok, but never enough for everyone to fill caches. MCM is flowing well. |

I received 4 MAM Beta 7.04 this morning and, so far, things are not looking too good - 1hr 40mins in and only 0.5% completed......notched up the 0.5% in about 30 secs and then (seemingly) no further progress. Not a full error - but it;s not looking encouraging!!! I have another batch on a second PC that are still in the queue, I'll watch progress on that one with interest. Any one else seeing anything similar on version 7.04?

Both my machines (Windows i7-3770) received 8 beta each. One has crunched 80% in 6 hours. The other only 8% in 2 hours.

The website is terrible at the moment. It's laggy, and it takes minutes to load a page, or post a message.
