Current downtime is being caused by data center maintenance. ETA for completion was this morning. So much for communication in these forums. Nothing was posted on the WCG Facebook page, only X (Twitter). This is really bad. Not the way you run a global project with thousands of users.

 This whole project has been deteriorating slowly since IBM exited. As a serious cruncher I'm beginning to re-evaluate my commitment/s to WCG and I'm sensing I'm not alone... |

It would have helped if a Notice were posted to the BOINC Client a few days before the WCG scheduled downtime. I found out about the downtime on Reddit r/BOINC/

Posting to social media sites which require an account to view the message just shows the contempt which this once great project has for it's volunteers.

This whole project has been deteriorating slowly since IBM exited. As a serious cruncher I'm beginning to re-evaluate my commitment/s to WCG and I'm sensing I'm not alone...I keep coming back to this project hoping things would eventually sort themselves out after the transfer. Appears to be little to no improvement. Starting to run out of patience now
