Glad to hear you got it working. My 5950x has been running great too; it is so power efficient when run at slightly lower clocks like you are. I run mine at 3800 Mhz all core and it sits around 70C. 99w for the cores and 150 watts total cpu package power according to HWmonitor. Asus X570P motherboard.

Excellent sleuthing! Ha! except I never noticed that I was looking at a different version of a Gigabyte B550M motherboard. Guess I saw only what I wanted to see.With the latest BIOS those settings I was looking for don't exist as they show in their documentation. There are plenty of settings which are not explained anywhere I can find. Seems I'm stuck with a motherboard/CPU combo which throttles itself when it reaches 46C. Pooh on Gigabyte and their crippled motherboard. Try going on the Reddit page for Gigabyte and see if someone can help you, ether by finding a bios version that has the settings you need or can help explain the unexplained settings, which hopefully DO contain the settings you want. ![]() ![]() |
