Re: Project Status (First Post Updated)

It's exciting to see the quick progress on processing the old WUs. It gives me hope that Monday can be a new start.

I agree- I think that (if all goes as planned) Monday should be an exciting day! Down to ~4000 results. Getting very close.

Re: Project Status (First Post Updated)

Yes, looking forward to Monday. I have almost stopped running MCM1 now, only crunching a couple/day. I have to save some of my monthly kWh budget for the OPNG run.

(Now purged to March 13)

Edit, added: Well, the fast purging stopped soon after I had posted this, some 10 hours ago. My list is still at March 13.

I think it is all caught up. All the old MCM WUs are gone... I only have ones that have finished recently.

Yes, it caught up for me too, in the last few hours. However, I still have a few finished tasks from March 13-19 left, that still waits to be purged.

Other than those, the remaining ones are just a few days old.

I could imagine someone from the project in here, talking about the purging and the plans now that all that should be purged is purged. It's a missed opportunity.

If those are still there now, have a look to see what the state of your wingmen's results might be -- I had some results that took a long time to be assimilated because there was a result (usually a retry) still unreturned -- there's a grey area regarding what happens to assimilation when a retry is out there and the No Reply that caused it returns later and validates :-)

Other causes may exist...

Cheers - Al.

I am caught up to March 23. However, I am noting an increase in the pending validation count. It has increased from about 50 to 125 even though the number of work units I am processing is greatly influenced by the paucity of supply. A quick look shows no resends.

Cheers

Re: Project Status (First Post Updated)

You can return your result a little late, but not too late to be validated:
MCM1_0214576_7873_0 Linux Ubuntu Valid 2024-03-17T20:19:38 2024-03-23T22:45:40 6.18/6.31 73.1/71.7
MCM1_0214576_7873_1 Fedora Linux Valid 2024-03-17T20:19:40 2024-03-18T00:25:55 0.97/0.97 70.4/71.7
MCM1_0214576_7873_2 Linux Gentoo Valid 2024-03-23T20:19:42 2024-03-23T23:51:10 3.46/3.52 73.7/71.7

Or you can return your result 10 days later, but too late to be validated:
MCM1_0214468_5990_0 Fedora Linux Valid 2024-03-12T22:46:14 2024-03-14T20:45:17 0.96/0.96 77.4/76.5
MCM1_0214468_5990_1 Linux Ubuntu Too Late 2024-03-12T22:46:14 2024-03-23T14:05:51 1.40/1.40 68.4/0.0
MCM1_0214468_5990_2 Linux Ubuntu Valid 2024-03-18T22:51:01 2024-03-19T23:44:40 1.53/1.54 75.5/76.5

Another way is to return your result 3 weeks later, still too late:
MCM1_0214188_9455_0 Linux GNOME Too Late 2024-02-29T18:56:11 2024-03-22T16:50:28 2.81/2.81 75.9/0.0
MCM1_0214188_9455_1 Linux Ubuntu Valid 2024-02-29T18:56:15 2024-03-01T11:31:43 2.10/2.13 70.5/70.8
MCM1_0214188_9455_2 Fedora Linux Valid 2024-03-06T18:56:32 2024-03-06T21:15:36 2.27/2.29 71.1/70.8

There was also a client that was more than a bit late (though only nearly 35 days) turning in their results:
MCM1_0213010_5262_0 Fedora Linux Valid 2024-02-11T20:13:23 2024-02-14T00:58:49 1.09/1.10 77.5/71.5
MCM1_0213010_5262_1 Linux Ubuntu Too Late 2024-02-11T20:13:31 2024-03-17T18:42:13 2.26/2.30 74.4/0.0
MCM1_0213010_5262_2 Linuxmint Valid 2024-02-21T13:25:59 2024-02-22T21:59:52 4.17/4.18 65.5/71.5

Re: Project Status (First Post Updated)

If you miss a deadline, another copy of the unit is generated. That may, or may not, go out immediately,

You can still get credit for it so long as it is returned before that third copy is returned. At that point the server checks to see if the third copy has reached its first checkpoint. If it has it is allowed to continue, but if it hasn't it is server aborted.

Definitely looking forward to more SCC and ARP work. Wasn't expecting that.
