The device profile propagation works again since ~4:50 pm (UTC+2) today for my BOINC clients.

This problem is back. Changes to the Device Profile settings, no longer propagates to the BOINC client. That's because of the complicated migration, and reported to the WCG team a long time ago. When WCG is fully back, which it isn't, they will fix that issue too. But before that, there are tons of more important issues to deal with. |

OK, I understand. Unfortunately, I have set that I should only receive one WU. I did that so that I would be aware when stable WUs are available again. Unfortunately, I am unable to increase it now.

An update from the WCG/Jurisica tech support people on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Going to look into the device profile issue and devices past, present, and future issue between the BOINC database node MQ sidecar and websphere MQ sidecar, I see an auth issue in the logs and expect to be able to fix the profile update if I resolve that. Devices, that is a bigger mess, but I will at least be able to report back with what's going on and how we are going to try and fix it.

It seems that it is fixed.I updated my Default profile several weeks ago. MCM1 was max 4 tasks and I increased that to 8 tasks, but that change didn't make it to BOINC's server DB, so until this morning (CET) I never got more than 4 tasks. Now at my last request I suddenly got 8 MCM1's, so my change finally arrived in the DB. [Edit 2 times, last edit by Crystal Pellet at Nov 6, 2025 12:40:25 PM] |

Yes, changes to the device profiles are now propagating to the BOINC client, as can be seen in the BOINC log:
