sad Re: 2025-04-29 (Device profile issue) again.....Wakey, Wakey

Repeating: And as usual after a server problem (which we just had), changes to the Device profile settings does not propagate to the BOINC client.

I unticked MCM from one of my profiles before the last server issue, in order to easier get MAM Beta. After that, the server issue occured, and when I ticked MCM again, it did not propagate to the BOINC client, even though it now shows as ticket in the profile settings page. Nothing new about that issue, it occurs every time after a server problem.

So, now my computer does not ask for MCM tasks, and no Beta tasks are sent either. Sleeping time is here......

Wakey, wakey team, please fix it.
I've been battling with the same issue.
In my frustration, I decided to move the computer from the work to the default profile (with identical options for both) and it came right instantly!
Unfortunately for me, all my profiles except one had MCM unticked, but that one is set to only receive 1 MCM task at a time. When changing to that profile, I can get one MCM, but nothing more of course. I have ARP unticked, because I do not want to run that project. So, until they fix this reoccurring issue, I can't get more than 1 MCM, if I shift to that profile, from the one I want this computer to be in. If the team does not notice this (old) thread in a couple of hours, I will start a new "Device Profile Settings" thread. I have also sent a messages via their "contact" page, twice, but so far they haven't reacted to this reoccurring problem. sad sad

Re: 2025-04-29 (Device profile issue) again.....Wakey, Wakey

My issue is much milder, but can somehow be related.

I got tasks both for MCM (dozens) and ARP (limited to 1 for testing purposes) but the BOINC client won't sync the resource share and the team I joined. Haven't seen anything like this with other projects. The issue persists on all my rigs, even if I use different device profiles, with slightly different settings.

Despite having the same username and e-mail address as on all other projects, my WCG CPID remains different after several days of running the project and having validated results from multiple devices.

Re: 2025-04-29 (Device profile issue) again.....Wakey, Wakey

The Device profile issue was finally fixed at around 2025-04-30 18:37:49 UTC+2. Two hours later, I began to slowly receive new MCM tasks. So for now, case is closed.

Re: 2025-04-29 (Device profile issue) again.....Wakey, Wakey

So our issues were indeed linked. All my rigs have correctly synced the resoure share, probably around the time you mentioned.
The CPID remains different, but that's probably a separate problem.

It happens again. I have set it to receive Open pandemics only, but still getting MCM tasks.

There has been no new work for OPNG since late June 2024 (and the CPU work [OPN1] stopped long before that).

If your device profile has the "If there is no work available for the project(s) I have selected above, please send me work from another project" option checked, it'll send you whatever is available (which currently is most likely to mean MCM1).

As for OPN[G], they switched targets from COVID virus to a Herpes variant early in 2024, but that only lasted a few months and there's been no news [that I've seen] since...

Cheers - Al.

I have enabled beta workunits in https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/device/viewBetaProfiles.do

to receive Mapping Arthritis Markers workunits.

Re: 2025-04-29 (Device profile issue) again.....Wakey, Wakey

The underlying issue still persists since Thursday or Friday. Changes to the device profiles do not get propagated to the BOINC client. A device profile switch is not recognized by the BOINC client, too.
