Also frustrated with the lack of communication. I was impressed with the technical detail in some of the Twitter updates, but that has dropped off completely. Not sure if they're understaffed and everyone is on vacation or something, but I'd like to know what issues are left to work through.

Another frustration is that there's about 10 different update threads, and I don't know which one to post in.

Maybe an email monthly, like a newsletter explaining the progress etc. would help with the wait? Not everyone checks the forum regularly.

I'd be livid if my 2004 account was deleted just because life got busy and I hadn't logged in in 3 years.
It doesn't mean/say anywhere that you have to "log in", but that you also not have returned any work for a very, very long time. Your BOINC clients are likely not even operational if that is the case.
I'm not in Europe and don't wish to be bound by their policies.
Well, let's just say the US of A is a lot of times just a bit on the slow side to adapt...

Every new article/news thread is also posted to our Twitter /Facebook pages. The team is also interested in creating a routinely newsletter so if it does come to fruition we will let everyone on social media and the forum know.

But WCG is... ideally, it would be by region of the user, but that's a big mess to do that.

Aside from EU regulations, deletion of unused accounts is nothing new. Unless you're paying, why is there an expectation to keep your account around indefinitely if you haven't logged into it? I think this actually goes back to the BBS days.
