Apparently the supply of both OPN1 and MCM1 has ceased. I will be dry in a couple of hours. Once again the silence is deafening.

small indie company, team of volunteers, etc. I don't think that is the problem here. They even have hired a dedicated communications intern. But that person is not communicating very much. Probably busy with gaming or surfing the internet or something? |

Sgt.Joe:
----------------------------------------Apparently the supply of both OPN1 and MCM1 has ceased. I will be dry in a couple of hours. Once again the silence is deafening. In the past few days, for MCM1 (and for ARP1, too) I'm only receiving resends, but I can tell you that there has been a steady supply of OPN1-tasls; this is a list - sorted by hour of returned result - of the number of OPN1-tasks that validated for me since then and I don't see any gap: 3 2022-10-10T09: 7 2022-10-11T03: 16 2022-10-11T21: 14 2022-10-12T15: Times are in UTC. Command was: wcglog -L 9999 | grep opn1 | wcglog -2tcr | sort | sed s/:.*/:/ | uniq -c(select last 9999 lines from the logfile, select OPN1, select column ReceivedTime, sort chronologically, discard minutes:seconds, count per hour) EDIT: adding a list - sorted by hour of SentTime (when the server sent them) - of the number of OPN1-tasks that validated for me until 06:00 UTC today: Command was: wcglog -L 9999 | grep opn1 | wcglog -2tct | sort | sed s/:.*/:/ | uniq -c(select last 9999 lines from the logfile, select OPN1, select column SentTime, sort chronologically, discard minutes:seconds, count per hour) [Edit 3 times, last edit by adriverhoef at Oct 13, 2022 10:28:17 AM] |

Tons of OPNG tasks being sent out now. So, I guess we'll have another slowdown of the website soon, followed by another crash in an hour or two.....

I came close to drying up, with only two left running on an 8 thread machine, but then got a few more dribbling in one at a time. Not quite enough to fill all 8 threads, but enough to keep from going dry. Now this morning it appears to be back to normal. Somebody probably gave the feeder a nudge and brought it back to normal.

Got an ARP resend. It looks like it didn't send a resend when it was suppose to. I'm not sure if they are purposely slowing down resends or if there is something broken (is it a feature or a bug?). They haven't put any fresh ARP into the hopper in a while.
The communications intern is good at putting out Happy Thanksgiving notices on twitter. The holidays are usually acknowledged. They also respond to "I'm quitting" posts. This leads me to believe that the intern is doing what they can, but isn't getting any feedback from the scientists, so can't post what is going on. The scientists are (hopefully) working hard on fixing issues. They are thinking I've almost squashed this issue/bug. I'll have the intern post something once we have something positive to say, but the issue drags on and the silence drags on, and we are at this awkward point where no matter what they post, we are all a bit disappointed. |
