GPU work units are exhibiting (for me) strange behaviour. I have a 16" MacBookPro with 8 cores (Intel i9) and two graphics cards (Intel and AMD)..
----------------------------------------Usually I can process 18 threads - 16 on the CPU and two GPU threads, one on the Intel and the other on the AMD. However, of late, my GPUs seem to only process one GPU WU at a time - it is either an Intel or an AMD WU but for some strange reason, not both at once. I have plenty of both types of GPU WUs and they are of very similar deadlines - within minutes of each other. Does anyone know why this phenomena happens?

I have 2 machines running Linux Mint 20 with RX560 2 GB cards in them. They were doing GPU work units fine. The last couple of weeks I have been getting more errors than successful completions. The tasks that error out only run for 40-50 seconds before crashing. Any thoughts? here is a snip from the Event Log:Sun 16 Oct 2022 12:27:08 PM CDT | World Community Grid | Computation for task OPNG_0159839_00243_0 finished Sun 16 Oct 2022 12:27:08 PM CDT | World Community Grid | Output file OPNG_0159839_00243_0_r216791919_0 for task OPNG_0159839_00243_0 absent Sun 16 Oct 2022 12:27:08 PM CDT | World Community Grid | Output file OPNG_0159839_00243_0_r216791919_1 for task OPNG_0159839_00243_0 absent I'm getting the exact same problem on RX6600, tasks run for about 17-18s before finishing with "computation error" message. Where can I find more logs about this? Also I'm curious, how were you able to install opencl (non-mesa) on polaris arch? It's a shame that unlike other projects, you can't see if there are GPU tasks available.

It's a shame that unlike other projects, you can't see if there are GPU tasks available. I have always been wondering why WCG does not have something like a "Project Status Page" in the same manner as all the other BOINC projects have  I've gotten a few here & there but mostly the GPU's sit idle. I assume it's a lack of GPU tasks? This was already the case last year, before the transition to Krembil took place.Not enough GPU tasks available most of the time |

Yeah... what do you need to do to get GPU tasks!! Nothing! Can't get any.

Yeah... what do you need to do to get GPU tasks!! Nothing! Can't get any. Well, for starters, you need to have OPN as project selected, and in your profile have GPU use allowed... Beside that this is the only project that in fact does have GPU WUs, they are at times in short supply. You should consider that WCG is still kind of in testing, we barely have a week now without any major foul up so far... Ralf  |

Yes I'm aware of OPN and selecting work for the GPU's.

no OPNG tasks for several days now was this project stopped? I haven't had any for a week now but have had lots of OPN CPU WUs. Where have they gone?
