Since the stress test ended, I am averaging around 400 tasks per day.

Well, I've stopped even trying to get any GPU work. If some script kiddies takes 1000 WU´s per day (by constantly "abusing" the servers with requests), out of the 2000 per 30 minutes or 96000 per day that is available now, then there's no reason for us "normal" BOINC users to even try. Especially since there are plenty of those script kiddies here. If these 96.000 WUs would be distributed evenly among 800k users, it'd result 1 WU for every 8 days / user.. So I'm not sure, if the "script kiddies" are the real problem here. |

WCG have 100k active User. How many people can running at the same time thru a door? Distribute 96k WUs to 100k users, is still less than one WU a day per user. So still, I don't think that "script kiddies" are the issue here. |

Ahhh....but how many of those 100k have opted to crunch on GPUs and how many are doing CPU only?
----------------------------------------The kitties don't know, so they are just gonna keep clawing and meowing at the server for kibbles. They did get a nice batch of 19 about half an hour ago. But, then they can go hungry for 3 or 4 hours waiting for another batch to come down the kibble chute. Crunching WCG is like a box o' chocolates, I guess. You just never know what you're gonna get. I still get between 20-30 workunits each hour, for my GPU (AMD Radeon RT 6700XT), so no problems at all here. Will keep crunching away :-)
This is without manually checking for updates, I just let BOINC Manager update via the default settings. |

And the kitties just clawed in a nice batch of 19 fresh kibbles! Before the last batch completed even! If only it could continue that way the kitties would be happy campers. Good hunting, kitties.

Sad to see: now I have only ~10-15 tasks per day for my Nvidia GPU. No special scheduller used...
