Boy, would lI like to know what the kitties said to the server!!
10 minutes later, after a 4-1/2 hour hiatus, the server sent the kitties 17 fresh kibbles into their bowl....LOL.

Re: Work unit availability

I turned on my main cruncher to see what, if anything, I could get. The result is mostly nothing for the GTX980, but the iGPU HD4600, is getting lots of resends with short deadlines, from failing iGPU's. Mostly WU's from the stress test, but also from the "normal" production. It seems to be plenty of them out there too, and they keep coming in.

Small example only:

OPNG_0028618_00009_3
OPNG_0040717_00108_2

OPNG_0037328_00079_4
OPNG_0037319_00250_4

I can confirm.
My PC with at GTX980ti inside, the one with a GTX970 and another one with a GTX1650 keep getting tasks several times per hour.
Most unfortunately though, the main cruncher with 2 RTX3070 inside gets tasks only once in a while. And if so, just a few ones at at time, while the other machines receive up to 20 or 30 at at time.
Is there any explanation for this strange imbalance ?

Re: Work unit availability

A RTX 3070 has 5888 NVIDIA CUDA computing units and can produce a large amount of data.
The servers are currently too weak.

Re: Work unit availability

The kitties are flummoxed this morning. 4 hours they've been clawing at the server and nary a nibble o' kibble have they been able to find.

Re: Work unit availability

It's been purely random for me. I guess too many people are lining up for Nvidia WUs. Still, they come in occasionally. None of my Intel systems have a new enough IGPU to be usable.

I run .1 day for both of my queue settings. It's anybody's guess whether or not that's good or bad; I do notice that when it starts running low on GPU work units it starts getting a bit needy for a while and immediately checks in after finishing every GPU unit, before reverting to more typical check-in behavior some time after the last GPU unit is gone.

It's hard to say whether I'd get more units in a batch with a longer queue or not. There are only so many WUs to go around, and (correct me if I'm wrong) they have to be divvied up as Intel, AMD, or Nvidia beforehand.
