Hi prause,
For the last year, the roadmap has been Linux x86, then Mac OS X, then think about what next. The PowerPC is an obvious direction to consider, but any expansion plans will have to take into account new projects being boarded and other expenditures of effort. We are still working up and discovering how to allocate our effort. |

Thanks for the update.
Just let us know if there is anything we can do. |

Why only Linux? Why only any hardware platform?
And I thought the idea of GRID was to be less dependent on host OS. Further, much better than my laptop - I have a (personal) Power4 running setiathome in it's idle moments. So, when you get to 'porting' how about to UNIX and/or AIX instead of just just Linux/x86? And when you do port it, how about splitting the calc. part from the GUI part. Even my laptop would do better if it wasnt wasting cycles on drawing pretty pictures noone is looking at. regards, Michael |

Michael --
While this relates to the UD Agent, most of us that run 24/7 have set our screensaver to "none" and set our power setting to turn off the monitor after a period of time (mine is set to 10 minutes). This will avoid the cycles required to generate the graphics. |
