Although I run 5 boinc projects (boincsynergy) on multiple computers I still prefer the WCG UD interface. It has superior graphics and runs very fast on my AMD 64 machine. A 64 bit version of the UD would be nice.
And dont take all of this too seriously, Distributed Computing is great regardless of what client is in use. Dr. Kenneth R. Hill, retired research chemist |

Graphics are a pretty waste of resources
Just started BOINC myself with Rosetta@home out of curiosity.........I like the idea of maintaining multiple projects from the one central place. Folding are possibly adding to the BOINC stable at some point which would be cool. |

Strange i didn't hear from them since a long time |

1. Not if your graphics card does all the work, leaving the CPeeU to crunch numbers.
2. Rosetta@home is great. Welcome aboard. 3. WCG uses rosetta, it's not new with Rosetta@home. 4. For a real contribution to physics, do LHC@home with boinc. When the collider finally runs it could change our view of the universe(Higgs boson). 5. Seti is fun but don't expect to talk to ET anytime soon :-). 6. Good grief - how I ramble on. Have a good one. |

I like the idea of maintaining multiple projects from the one central place. vaio -- That will be the case here on the World Community Grid at some point in the near future. The difference is that the projects hosted here will be projects considered to be of benefit to humanity and held to a very strict set of rules that require the results obtained to be published openly and available to all. |

While I would join WCG if they had a Windows BOINC client, all of my machines have enough work to keep the CPUs warm, and I will not join if there is not a BOINC Windows client. Ditto for me! The whole point of boinc is to have one framework for many projects. Using different clients for different platforms sort of defeats the purpose. I'll continue to keep wcg running on my linux boxen though... |

hello,
I am currently running : 1) boinc for projects seti@home and einstein@hom 2) the world community grid Having only one software to do all is the best from my point of view. I don't have anything to do with beautiful graphics, the goal is to make calculations. I have understood that it is (or will be) possible to only run boinc. How to do ? Thanks regards Philippe |

There is no windows boinc client yet. They're considering to make one.
