Faster in Linux than Win 10?

It doesn't matter, the main thing is that you accelerate

...CPU using some 10 watts less compared to 6 MCM+2MIP
Running at 48º Celsius, which about 6º down compared to the previous workunits.
That means I can add more computers before I start tripping the main again :-)
I'm up to 60 Valids with no Invalids!!! OPN is runnin' smooth as glass...

I just tested with the wattmetter and it's a good 6-7 watts down from the previous MCM+MIP configuration.

Also, I was talking with the ForliLab twitter account (Dr. Forli himself, I believe), asked about GPU's and got this response: https://twitter.com/ForliLab/status/1261194223811887109

"I was in both, indeed!
And yes, we're working hard on the GPU side, brand-new code, hopefully better scoring function, but definitely faster!"

So it's coming eventually if it all works out. One of the people involved in the project is indeed a CUDA/OpenCL programmer.

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID-19 is Now Live

Not sure this is the correct thread, but I'm seeing a 32 bit version of autodock 7.17 running among the x86_64 processes on 64-bit Windows 10, WOW usually works fine but I wonder if this is normal. It happens on 2 PC's.

Yes that's normal. It's whenever there is urgent need of a wingman then the first available [reliable] host calling for work is designated as verifier.

If you are not liking it, you can specify in the cc_config.xml file to only receive 64 bit work. That will preclude you from sciences that are only available in 32 bit such as MIP1.

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID-19 is Now Live

Glad to see the project out of beta. I already have two PCs on it and 2 tasks credited. Let's do this!

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID-19 is Now Live

The front page shows results returned successfully, they are not validated results.

I do not have a final batch number. Each target could have about 50k batches. There will be multiple targets used. Each batch has 10k ligands that get split and combined into work units. We are hoping to see how fast we can run through the first target to determine overall scale.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

Glad that's cleared up, but maybe then you would want to visit the project stats pages such as this one https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/stat/viewP...&numRecordsPerPage=14

Returned Results = Valid Results there, but I could be awfully wrong. ;o)

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID-19 is Now Live

Looking for guidance, have a linux and windows host. Linux host does not show in devices but has been running work for a couple years now. Windows host is what shows as registered. Windows getting work from this project, linux not. Both are on 7.x, input?
