Re: OpenPandemics - COVID-19 is Now Live

This is a great news!
Will the quorum remain 2 or will it be changed to 1 as it was with other Autodock-based projects? If it is scientifically possible it would mean to double the computing power :)

This is going to be quorum of 1. However, since this is a new application, it will take a few days for hosts to be considered reliable. This means that everyone is getting double checked to start with until reliable quality has been met.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

Never so sure what the front page banner counter indicates with this

Tasks Returned Today: 687

Is this 'returned' or is this validated? If validated, some serious power crunchers out there to get 10-15 with wingman in such a short timeframe.

This is just another WCG project so just opt in via WCG device manager page.

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID-19 is Now Live

uplinger, do you have a "final" batch number (on the work that has been sent/estimated) that you can share so we can see how we are progressing?

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID-19 is Now Live

The front page shows results returned successfully, they are not validated results.

I do not have a final batch number. Each target could have about 50k batches. There will be multiple targets used. Each batch has 10k ligands that get split and combined into work units. We are hoping to see how fast we can run through the first target to determine overall scale.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

Nobody has made the observation during the big beta. Only AutoDock VINA is known to run much faster on Linux, like half the time. that of Windows.

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID-19 is Now Live

Going through my WUs I noticed that there are quite a lot wingmen with Errors. They always run Win 8.1

Might be an issue with Win 8.1?
Failure Code is always:
couldn't start app: CreateProcess() failed - A required privilege is not held by the client.
(0x522)

Luckily I dont run Win 8.1 systems :D

I can tell at least 2 different hosts with this error and same OS/BOINC version.
