Good morning, Thanks everyone for the information and details. As well as forcing some restarts in there for me! The invalids that we are seeing are due to the way we split up some of the work units. It's a build issue on our end and we are working to fix. @Sgt.Joe What version of the client are you running on the machine that got 'finish file present too long'? Also, nice to see lots of android and linux on ARM processing these work units. Thanks, -Uplinger Was about to post that I had a handful of invalids from machines that usually have 100% reliability, glad to see you're on top of it already. I'm assuming there's going to be more Betas tomorrow to test the fix? ![]() (I'm still a loooong way from that 5yr Beta badge) |

I have one WU BETA_OPN1_0000333_1135 where two hosts return invalid, but one wingman is pending validation. Is that expected? So far I had the impression that all hosts were expected to return invalid for these broken WUs...

I got two repair jobs where my wingman got 'finish file present too long'. Both were on a linux host. BETA_OPN1_0000333_8525 and BETA_OPN1_0000333_7012 both had client version 7.6.31. I also got 2 resends that were run on client version 7.6.31 but did not have the 'finish file present too long' tag. Both ran 3 jobs of 49,49 &11 dockings. Both were marked invalid. I also received a resend on a linux host that had 2 invalids and an error from Windows hosts. ![]()

Thanks to everyone for the help testing the last round. I have posted more information about a new round of beta work units and application:
https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg...ead,42310_offset,0#625391 Please force a restart if you're able to, however that mechanism was not modified in this application update, it's still a very important piece to test. Note: The batches for new work units are 0000337 and 0000338. Should be a little over 20k work units (40k results). Thanks again! -Uplinger |

OK, will test on my Windows 8.1 computers.
----------------------------------------Quick question though: No fix for XP yet? This Beta does not work on XP x86 at least. They error out with "couldn't start app: CreateProcess() failed - (unknown error)" Probably compiled for Windows with the MajorSubsystemVersion set to 6 which means Vista is the oldest Windows OS that will work? @Grumpy,
We do not officially support XP. I think it was attempted to compile with support for older OS's, but we do not have any for our internal testing. Thanks, -Uplinger |

Thanks, -Uplinger OK, just wondered, since my XP x86, is running MCM, SCC, and MIP, just fine. It's an old slow Laptop, but it does do the job without errors (except for this Beta that is).
