Re: OpenPandemics - COVID 19 Beta Test April 20, 2020 [ Issues Thread ]

I ran across two beta invalids in my Results Status

Linux Mint 19.3 --> BETA_OPN1_0000334_02042 Everyone else (4 other wingmen had invalids/Server Aborted)

Windows 10 --> BETA_OPN1_0000336_09024 same situation as above.

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID 19 Beta Test April 20, 2020 [ Issues Thread ]

I have two resends from batches 337 and 338 on linux. BETA_OPN1_0000337_00893 errored on 'finish file present too long' with client 7.6.31. BETA_OPN1_0000338_10378 errored for a reason that is not clear to me. 182 WUs in batches 337 and 338 so far: 115 valid, 14 in PV, 53 still in progress. No invalids.

Thanks uplinger for your explanation and and the link to detailed checkpoint information. So far I have had numerous zero invalid results and a few pending results from batch 335 & 336

5 returned so far - 3 valid, 2 VP. No issues on any of them - tried the reboot tests and still all good. Just waiting on 5 more betas to return now.

One was batch 333, and 4 were batch 337.

I see the results are being purged and you still haven't run the script to assign credit for invalid results. (at least mine hasn't been credited yet)

Still got some in PV, but the only invalids so far seem to be the earlier batches.

Since this is a manual process (it seems), this may be dependent on the person running the beta? I remember not getting credit for work on a recent beta (can't remember which project). It was only a few hours here and there, but still.

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID 19 Beta Test April 20, 2020 [ Issues Thread ]

All 182 WUs have been processed now. 179 valid and 3 still in PV. All on linux. So that looks excellent! I have also seen strange behavior in the progress bar of one unit (there may well be more, I wasn't constantly looking at that). The unit would reach 25% and then get reset to something like 23.8%. It would then cycle through this behavior something like 10 times before finally breaking through the 25% barrier. When it reached 50%, the speed of increase of the progress bar went significantly down. So the behavior was also strongly non-linear.

That's a documented AutoDock behavior. As it homes in on the lowest energy docking, if it's not low enough, the minimum threshold, it's tries again in a different position until it decides it's best possible and then moves on to the next i.e. these alternating percentages is normal.
