Re: Question on points. Slow machine awarded extra points

Not to 8 either

From what I read 8 was a dog... Continuing the long running trend every other MS OS was crap.... Remember Vista! 7 was a huge improvement over that POS. 10 appears to break that cycle.

I still run a system on Vista. I have had that machine crunching for a long time. I like Win 7 better, but saw no need to change it. I haven't upgraded any of my Win 7 machines either. That being said, I prefer Linux for most of my crunchers.
Cheers

Re: Question on points. Slow machine awarded extra points

Hi Sgt. Joe,
I do exactly the same. I kept Win7 and, step by step, where Windows is still necessary (for business/customer reasons) I virtualise it.
The rest of my machines are Linux-based and I am not willing to move to Win10 (for data privacy and reliability reasons).
Cheers,
Yves
