Re: MCM: Switching to sarcoma & now on Android

One more vote for Linux ARM. My Raspberry Pi 4 with Ubuntu installed can only run OPN. If OPN ends and there is no other WCG project available, I might switch to Rosetta or something else when that happens.

you can install Android 11 on Raspberry Pi 4 and run MCC on it.

I can, but I don't want to trouble myself figuring out how to run Android headless.

Good news!!, now, Boinc for Android 7.18.1 version support remote monitoring. You can download it from https://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/boinc_7.18.1.apk.
I can view my Raspberry Pi 4 with Android and my Xiaomi phone in BOINCTUI on Raspberry 4 with Raspberry OS

Good to know that.
In my case, I have to setup my Raspberry Pi 4 without a monitor. With Linux I am able to connect my Pi 4 and setup Boinc using SSH. Am I able to do the same thing on Android?
It is great to see my Pi4 doing OPN tasks, and running MCM will make it better. (I wanted to quote "Life is great but it can be better" but my English is terrible laughing )
If someday I have a monitor to play around, then I will give Android a try.

Re: MCM: Switching to sarcoma & now on Android

RE...

I assume MCM is working on both Sarcoma *and* Lung Cancer -- I opened several *MCM*.txt files down in /var/lib/boinc-client/projects/www.worldcommunitygrid.org and seen the DatasetID = sarc1 identifier.

DateOfDesign = 20200218
Designer = Krembil/cubes
WorkOrderID = 0199662_4473
DatasetID = sarc1

[The above was Linux -- Windows Users would look in C:\ProgramData\... ]

--

Perhaps WCG Support will chime-in to better explain, but that's my experience here...
