Just a little note. The last 10 days also have an average time per work unit of less than 1 day. It looks like the faster machines are having some influence on lowering the average time per unit with more units available.

Welcome to WCG. There isenough work to do, but the units are issued randomly, so not predictable when they are available. Also they are very big units and checkpoint every 12.5%, so if you close down your machine you lose all work back to the last checkpoint. The size of the units means that you should only run half your cores/threads on arp. You can either run update manually frequently, which takes time, or run the other half of your threads with shorter duration units, such as Mapping Cancer Markers (mcm) or Microbiome Immunity Project (mip). That way completing those units will request more arp units automatically. As a rough guide, if you have 8 cores/threads on your machine, set your device profile to 'custom' and then request projects arp, mcm & mip. Set cache to 1.5 days plus 1.5 days and number of units to 4 arp, 6 mcm & 4 mip. To start with you will just get mcm and mip units, then as you return work, arp units should start arriving, but not likely to be on the first return. If you don't have 8 cores/threads then scale all the figures up or down as appropriate. Mike |

Greetings All
----------------------------------------After setting up my preferences as per advice from previous users in this thread, have been getting a steady supply of workunits for the last month, just enough to keep the machines ticking over. Got a couple of 007s on my computers as well. Cheers ![]() |

After hitting a peak of over 9300 returns, it has subsided back to about 8000 per day.

Returns now down to about 7000 per day and I haven't received any units for nearly a day.

I'm the same, I think something's broken.
ARP's are running out on Win and Linux boxes, usually got around 2 dozen per day running between them all. Anyone got a hotline to the techs? |

The problem might be that they are working remotely, so not just one phone number needed. We have a big pond in the way.
We may have to wait until Monday. Not so bad here because I will finish my Sapphire for mip sooner - only 8 days to go. Mike |
