I limit to 4 MIP1, where as usually only 3 are computed simultaneously, 1 is waiting.

Guess the distribution is simply random. I have a single device and no special setup, and the device is not even running 24/7. Sometimes I get 4-6 ARP per day, sometimes I do not get a single job for 1-2 weeks. If you compare the number of tasks available for ARP with the number of devices returning results for WCG, it's just good luck if you catch an ARP task or not. Even if you optimize your settings to lookup new tasks more frequently ist just random. 4000 ARP results per day compared to a total of about 900,000 results at all is less then 0.5% (not taken into account that MIP and MCM are shortrunning, of course)

The stats now seem to be showing a small increase in returns, presumably only from faster machines so far.

Neither is right since 'returned' is quite a different thing from 'validated'. There could be hundreds more 'returned' in the ramp up waiting on a wingman like I suddenly now do for 2.

We can only go off the numbers we were given which is exactly what I did and the number was 4986. I can only assume that Mike rounded the number to the nearest thousand

Maybe more work available now, because an old project is back in business!

Actually, I rounded to the nearest 100 but the answer would have been the same. Now it is 5500! (plus 4 for Speedy51 as he is so pedantic)
I did speculate that it would have been the faster machines reporting the extra first. The stats say 'returned' so that is what I said. Mike |
