Sunday Report
----------------------------------------All classifications have stayed put.. There are still 3 ultras in generations 21 & 22, 8 extremes in generations 104 - 110 and 12 in generations 115 - 124, None of those generations contain more than 2 units. We then have 295 extremes in generations 125 - 131. All of them appear to be stuck. There are now 318 extremes in generations 21 to 131 but all seem to be stuck. There are still 441 accelerated units in generations 132 to 136, all of which appear to be stuck. There are 1,176 normal units in generations 137 to 141 with only 1 moving in 137 & 1 in 141 There are 33,674 normal units in generations 142 to 146. WCG are currently releasing units in generations up to 143. We are now 70% of the way through generation 143. 9,162 units have validated in the week. Based on the last 5 weeks, we would complete ARP1 in March 2029. However, there may be an improvement when the new hardware is online by July. My daily report has now ceased as we have mostly caught up the moveable laggards. This report includes a couple of items from it. We are now about 90% of the way through generation 143 so expect 144 to start on 2 May.

I haven't seen an ARP in a few hours. Are they flowing?

I have received 4 of them today, one on Windows and 3 on Linux. The latest one is
----------------------------------------ARP1_0034067_143_0. It came at 09:08 UTC. Cheers

Going to be interesting to see how the WCG system handles the load. MCM has been selected as the Boinc Pentathlon Marathon project. Probably going to be a bumpy ride.

Does anyone know whether the people who set that up communicate with the target project(s) to find out if there might be issues before declaring the target? Just asking :-)Cheers - Al. |

Doesn't actually start until the 5th at 00:00 UTC so everyone is just "bunkering" right now. On May 5th those bunkers will start hitting the server. I'm not participating in the marathon as I know how bad WCG is and it isn't worth the bunkering effort. If I were, I would probably be submitting close to 10,000 work units when I did my bunker dump. That's just an idea of what might be ahead.

I would probably be submitting close to 10,000 work units when I did my bunker dump. What could go wrong... ? How many people/users would you estimate participate and follow a similar strategy? |
