Re: Work Available

No generations.txt yet today, so no numbers available yet.

However we are 35% of the way through generation 143.

Re: Work Available

Mike,

My collector script picked up all three files at 14:20 UTC today, and both completed.txt and generations.txt contained some values that had changed from the previous day's files :-)

In case you still haven't got your file, here's what my "quick analysis" script had to say about those two files...

completed.txt
-------------

+--------------+---------------------+----------------+--------+
| number_units | avg_hrs_to_complete | max_generation | type |
+--------------+---------------------+----------------+--------+
| 2844 | 84.9 | 143 | Normal |
+--------------+---------------------+----------------+--------+

Total units count decreased by 377

Normal had 3221 units the day before

generations.txt
---------------

258 units from 142 to 143
1227 units from 143 to 144
----
1485 units in all

I realise that you probably don't use completed.txt -- I've just included it for reference :-)

By the way, the same processes the day before agreed with your 1,360 count of Normals, so I reckon my scripts are doing what they're supposed to :-)

Cheers - Al.

Re: Work Available

Thanks, Al.

I had checked just before reporting but checking again I now find them, so here goes:

Again no movement of extremes or accelerated. There are 759, all of which appear to be stuck.

We are now 35% into generation 143.

1,485 normals validated yesterday from 142 & 143 only. There are now 28,096 normals in the generations being released, many of which may be stuck, particularly in generations 137 to 141. There is at least 1 moving in generations 137 & 141.

There are now 6,036 units held up in generation 144.

The circumstances were not as you described. I prioritise ARP to a maximum of half threads so as not to slow down crunching. phytell was trying to do the same for 2.

circumstances may not have been as I/you described. To me it is the same thing because you asking someone to start a task. Like I was asking you to do if you are able to :-)

The circumstances were that he wanted to know how to promote ARP units to the top of the queue, so I told him.

I already have ARP at the top of my queue, albeit limited to 4 per machine due to crunching speeds.

Re: Work Available

How is the ARP flow? I'm only seeing resends. Is it just me?

Looking through the resends I've gotten and I found this one interesting.
https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/contribution/workunit/698320362
4 completed WU and it asks for a 5th.

edit to add another weird one https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/contribution/workunit/697043679

I think they changed the wingman matching algo to match newer macs to newer macs to reduce the invalid rate, but it may have sent some older WUs into a spin cycle.

Unixchick

Pending Verification means that the results are not close enough to Validate.. It is a candidate for being stuck.

Re: Work Available

Since yesterday I have only received 1 ARP and that was a resend 2 hours ago.
