I am still advocating for the sciences supporting Raspian. It should not be as difficult since the sciences already support Linux/Ubuntu/Debian.
----------------------------------------I am definitively not willing to run Android on my Raspberry(ies). I think that it is a pity that Raspian is not supported by WCG sciences at this time. It causes that many RPi are not able to crunch for the sciences. Cheers, Yves --- PS: I made a similar comment last week, however it seems that it has not been reliably posted (I was traveling). |

Yes it would be great if WCG could further integrate the Pi4, its becoming ubiquitous.

That clusterboard looks very convenient! The founder of Raspberry Pi said a Compute Module based on the Pi 4 is being considered, but there's nothing definitive yet. I hope one comes out.

If anyone's looking for well-made Pi cases, check out https://www.c4labs.com/
----------------------------------------I bought cases for a Pi 3B+ and 3B and will get one for a Zero soon. Made in USA. Slightly pricier than the hit-or-miss stuff on Amazon. I first ordered a "new" acrylic case on Amazon from another vendor, but it came dirty and dusty, so I returned it with "never again" mentality. Been happy with C4 Labs quality.

I'd definitely buy a dozen of these if they were supported on the grid. They'd have the same power consumption as one of the (multiple) laptops on my desk right now, and probably get a whole lot more work done.
