Hello fellow crunchers,
----------------------------------------I recently got a macbook air and I am having difficulty having it crunch when closing the lid. I am a not a mac book expert (almost always used windows) and I read on a couple of forums on using an app called Caffeine. I tried that (and checked to make sure it ran), but it still puts the macbook to sleep when I close the lid. Other than keeping the lid open all the time can other macbook owners give me some help on how they maintain having WCG run on their macbooks overnight? Thanks in advance. ![]() |

Clamshell mode, but not so sure its wise to crunch with lid closed when the keyboard is often part of the heat dissipation. |

Hi lavaflow,
----------------------------------------Thanks for the link. I saw that option, but I do not own an external monitor so I would not be able to take advantage of it. ![]() |

Does macOS not offer the "Power Options" or "Choose what happens when I close the lid" like Windows has offered since perhaps 2002 with WinXP?
----------------------------------------Asking honestly, since I'm new to macOS. But it seems weird that that option's not available to be able to close a laptop's lid without it assuming you want it to sleep or hibernate.

Download an app called amphetamine (nice name) it overrides the power settings and should solve your issue- it’s free.
