Still suspicious the hosting mob have allocated far too little CPU resources, or too many slow cores rather than enough decent ones, to cope with the single threaded loads.

I know it has been a few days since my last update. We are waiting for some specific network related scans. This is done by a team outside of the WCG team. As we wait for this I have no updates, but it is appearing that the connection to the SAN storage is having packet transmission issues and that is causing the IO load of the system to spike. We are still working to resolve this and get things back to normal.

Thursday nights are tougher on the database as we run more statistics that slow things down more. Normally this is not an issue, but as we are still working through the problem, it makes things slower than the slow daily ones we are already seeing. We are having hosting examine the firewall over the weekend to see if they see the issue with that device not handling the load properly. Since that device is not within WCG control, I can not do the captures and examination. We have a meeting scheduled with them Monday morning to review the results.
