Re: 2 zik taking LONG time to complete, both are over 1day & 7 hrs

The problem has nothing to do with the amount of memory, just with the access to certain blocks of memory. If the application is attempting to use the same block of memory as a completed unit and the completed unit has not properly released the memory upon completion, the application will continue to try to access memory which is still flagged as "in use" when it really is not. Apparently for you, it only happens in the applications which use the Vina application.
Cheers

Still doesn't explain random occurrence and (possible) Windows version dependency. I still lean towards the opinion that there might be some flaw in the composition of batches and/or Boinc client flaw since this happens now and then not only for me. But oh well, we will never know anyway since project is near to it's end. Unless similar flaw won't be transfered to the future projects and somehow the issure will be localized and fixed.

Re: 2 zik taking LONG time to complete, both are over 1day & 7 hrs

okies guys, I have 1zika, currently at 6hrs, all other 7 are running normal at 1 hr, 52 mins, my system is I7 2600 @3.4ghz w/ 16G ram Windows server 2016 Standard running at 95% (water cooled CPU in a 53F environment)
have had several during the past week one was at 92% & AT 4 DAYS+ a second at 3.3 DAYS 87% and 1 more of which I don't remember the stats

there doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason, just sporadically happening

regards to all

If you are wanting to fix the problem I would do the following. Either pause/suspend tasks that have long runtime for a minute or so and then resume it should go back to its last checkpoint and continue normally alternatively when is convenient for you give your computer restart this will have the same effect. Tasks should finish and a timely manner after they are restarted

@fitzy, change the 95% to 100% in the "Use at most" field(s). You're introducing artificial pauses and restarts.
