Re: Is anybody still getting work?

You may be unlucky as the completion estimate has fallen back to next month with 97% done.

Again, this is textbook GIGO since the system doesn't account for the batches that have yet to be generated and loaded into the queue. The entire Research page needs to be re-architected.

Re: Is anybody still getting work?

I agree.

The entire research page needs to be deleted since it is mis-leading. They were going to try and work on it after the last major hardware upgrade but that never happened. Evidently, it's on the infamous "to-do list". Members have asked for the number of batches to be relayed to the members when received from the researchers but they have balked at that request also. If we know the number of batches we can track it ourselves similar to what Sgt Joe (MCM) and others have done but without that information there isn't anyway to predict future end or pause dates. WCG only knows what the researchers have sent them. They don't know if, when, or how much future work might be sent from the research staff.

That's right, an active research might suddenly and unexpectedly halt or it might just not continue. We've 'recently' seen it happen with The Clean Energy Project - Phase 2 and with FightAIDS@Home (Phase 1).

Re: Is anybody still getting work?

Must be a beautiful sight. smile We don't have mountains in the Netherlands, unless you count the Vaalserberg (322 m) as a mountain. wink Or, if you count Saba, a Caribbean island at 7,000 km from our capital Amsterdam and also Dutch, it consists largely of the potentially active volcano Mount Scenery, at 887 metres the highest point of the entire Netherlands. biggrin laughing (source)
