Been receiving spurious HTTP errors during downloads of WUs since 1700 UTC Have approximately 30 waiting to download. Retry of all WUs results in continuing HTTP errors. Uploads seem to be working but take a long time initiate and complete. Some fail but a retry usually gets them to upload.

Yes, some seem to succeed after a couple of retries. I think we have seen this problem before but it has been a while.
----------------------------------------It seems to have started almost right on the hour for me. I'm always curious about problems that start right on the hour as possibly a timed process that kicked off and failed or maintenance activities etc. Maybe just a coincidence. Seems to have cleared, somewhat. Did a retry all and everything uploaded/downloaded. Very sluggish during the initiation and completion of the transfers. A few are still failing but the majority are succeeding. One retry will usually get them to complete

I'm working to see if I can recreate the issue. However since it appears intermittent (but I'm not sure) I'm having issues recreating it. If someone would be willing to enable http_debug on their client to see what they capture when a download error happens and posts it, that would be great. Currently I'm attempting to download some of the larger files off the download using a script limiting the connection speed to 1 MB/s to see if I can recreate. I'll let you know if I see anything from that test.

I was going to say that my link won't even do 1 Mb/s, but I don't think that that's relevant. I was watching some of the files coming and going while it wasn't working well, and what seemed to be happening was extremely long handshake times. I saw up to ten seconds or so before the transfer started, then the transfer went as fast as usual, then it was another ten or so seconds before it was deemed complete. Hope this might help. |

@PMH_UK (Paul), it looks like you're using Linux client version 7.2.42 from 2014, which explains why it's negotiating using the deprecated SSLv3 protocol. Obviously that's not the reason behind the error message, just something I noticed.
----------------------------------------Looks like both @captainjack and @PMH_UK are receiving an "HTTP/1.0 503 Service Unavailable" error message from a WCG server behind 169.47.63.74:443.

I'm experiencing the same slow download behavior on androids between 22:00 and 22:30 UTC the past two days. No problems at other times. All are running SCC.
