Re: Data exports & status of Data Processing Agreement

I have a very similar sentiment and a conflicted feeling about what to do with the 400+ cores I have dedicated to WCG. On the one hand I love putting them to good use, not just leaving them idle. On the other hand the lack of updates (both on this issue and other issues like progress of research) leave a bitter taste in my mouth, as does the apparent lack of resources IBM is willing to dedicate to this project (just look at the current forum software).

:(

WCG will sort this out in time, 'My Grid' still updates. . . I don't see the reason to get all worked up about this . . .

Re: Data exports & status of Data Processing Agreement

I for one am sick of having no stats to look at. I have 300 cores@2.5-4.0 ghz, but I am going to put them on Rosetta soon, if I don't get my stats.

I don't care what the reason, FIX IT. Specifically, let free-dc stats have access to the data. I don't even know where else to get stats.

Those work & I've imported them into my Excel sheets... wink

Re: Data exports & status of Data Processing Agreement

When will you implement all users to be in statistics?
As from GDPR, some users have opted to be out of stats & they have "vanished"...& that does not show a "real picture"...
So when will you show hidden users in data, without revealing their identity (marking them as "hidden user")?

All volunteer statistics are included at the aggregate level. Where stats are shown at the member level, then only members who have chosen to share their data publicly will be listed. We recognize that the website needs to make it clear that any such lists do not include 'hidden' members and we're working to address that.

If you crunch competitively, you live for the stats. I can certainly understand people being upset. I like stats too, and if they don't get fixed eventually, I'll be pretty pissed - but I'd never leave WCG over it. Right now, this situation barely rises to "annoyance" level for me. I'm just gonna be patient and hope for the best.

Cheers!

Edit - thanks for the info, Juan!

Re: Data exports & status of Data Processing Agreement

I do not think WCG is dead. I love the statistics, but they are not the reason I crunch. I crunch to promote the research which will make the world a better place and to help in the search for disease cures. I do agree the site has given itself a public relations black eye by not having the legal beagles have the fix ready for the implementation on May 25, but to me the important part is the research gets done. I do hope they sort out the legal mumbo jumbo in a timely fashion so all of us stats people can get our spreadsheets heating up again.
Cheers
