Can and should WCG Administrators start canceling work units above the 150th iteration?
It's possible that project scientists need to compare each unit at the 'final' step. If project scientists don't wish to use information beyond the designated 'final' step, the vast majority of available work should be aborted by server. If we're still doing useful work, I'm happy to do it! |

Hi All,
Thank you very much for the great contribution to the FightAIDS@Home Phase 2 project. The two sets (001319-001769 and 001770-002220) of HIV-IN simulations were designed for the benchmark tests of AsyncRE framework. All of jobs have been completed , analyzed, and written for a journal paper which is under reviewing. We also acknowledged the great contribution from all WCG volunteers in the manuscript. Please also note the web status page only shows the estimated numbers of jobs that can be successfully extracted from the returned tar files. There is always a delay in reporting the exactly completed jobs. The estimation nature also comes from the fact that there is a wide distribution of the completed MD cycles for each replica due to the asynchronous exchange feature of AsyncRE framework. The new members in the science team are working on setting up the reporting process for the new experiments of HIV-CA protein. Thank all of you very much for the understanding and patience. Junchao |

Seems there are new Experiments on the website:
Experiments 002221-002470 Experiments 2221-2471 are the first set of simulations using the asynchronous replica exchange for HIV CA. The initial poses of 250 rigid ligands at binding pocket 1 (which overlaps the binding site of PF74) for predicting binding free energies of HIV capsid were prepared using AutoDock Vina. Receptor Structure: HIV Capsid site Detailed Experiment List: Available Estimated WUs: 2,700,000 Complete: 0% Experiments 002471-002720 Experiments 2221-2471 are the first set of simulations using the asynchronous replica exchange for HIV CA. What's the difference between the two experiments? Looks like duplicates to me. Same molecule, same binding site, same number of WUs

The page is working for me and shows both of the new experiments at 1%. Fantastic. Yesterday the page was totally blank, empty, 0 bytes. [Edit 1 times, last edit by adriverhoef at Feb 19, 2019 12:46:27 PM] |
