Seen another wingman with an Invalid result, and again "Could not determine result number" / "result number = 15" being the only unusual lines in the Result Log.

Having seen a few more linux betas fail, I checked the binaries. Looks like this beta is being compiled for 2.6.32. Previous binaries were always compiled for 2.6.18 or earlier. I have machines running 2.6.26 kernel, which is why all WCG works except for this beta.
Has there been any official announcement of this change? |

Just had a batch of Betas fail to download. Everything seems to go OK except that the large file ~ 75 Mb gets to about 83% and refuses to go any further.

Tony, the issue with the validator has been fixed. Thanks, armstrdj Yeah, that confused me prog into apestate... 9 were archived with Invalid state during prior stats periods (12 hour cycle) then me prog showed 9 short on the last period, because the validstate changed from 2 to 1. |

To phrase it differently, to me it appears as if the affected results were credited twice, first as invalid, than with last stats, again but now as valid. Think I can say: Nobody minds

Has there been any official announcement of this change? 2.6.n used to be a minimum kernel requirement, but am unable to trace where it was printed, i.e. nothing official of what it was before and what it is now, on record. The wiki still speaking of an even older...https://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/System_requirements |
