Just to confirm problems with Linux. 3 WU on 3 different Linux cloud Droplets (Digital Ocean) - 512 MB Memory / 20 GB Disk / AMS2 - Ubuntu 16.04.1 x64 - needed several reboots and uninstalling / reinstalling BOINC to finally finish after 1,5 days:

- BETA_ beta26_ 00000058_ 0571_ 0-- Valid 8/9/17 19:12:02 8/11/17 17:52:53 2.34 / 2.72 35.4 / 35.4

- BETA_ beta26_ 00000058_ 0350_ 0-- Valid 8/9/17 19:11:06 8/12/17 08:26:41 1.71 / 1.81 23.3 / 23.3

- BETA_ beta26_ 00000058_ 1663_ 0-- Valid 8/9/17 19:10:18 8/12/17 07:37:57 1.48 / 1.59 19.4 / 19.4

I had to detach one, because I was not able to force it to move over 2,5%:

- BETA_ beta26_ 00000062_ 0900_ 0-- Detached 8/10/17 19:04:09 8/12/17 20:37:27 0.00 / 0.00 0.0 / 0.0

ETA: all the time CPUs were utilized to +- 100%

ETA2: CPUs, first 3 ("good" ones):

- 1x Intel Xeon E5-2630L V2 @ 2,0 GHz (Family 6 Model 45 Stepping 7)

The 512MB memory might be the problem. See OldChap's post above.

Anyone who observed the memory/vm max usages **, delta R/W of the latest beta in Task/Process manager (latter seems borked under latest W10 too, new version and run as admin fixed this part)?

(W10 home 16251 and can set only a hand full of the most basic column view options)

Edit ** PMH_UK wrote Jul.21 "Working set started at about 120MB, now 350MB with VM 420MB.", for Linux. What of Windows?

Well, if it will be a problem also in "hard-copy", (I hope) FAHV will be available for my DigitalOcean Droplets praying

Linux memory between about 350 and 700 Mb, Windows likely similar range.

Thx, saw another post with some bolded numbers. Serious stuff, not exactly for multicore running machines with limited memory (though the client is supposed to pause 1 or more if it runs out with "waiting for memory"... tasks are not supposed to crash on momentary shortage).

Not sure, but need to check out the client, if it stores these RAM/VM figures. Vaguely recollect it does. Not, this is in job_log
