Hi Falconet,

We don't have any updates on new work from the Smash Childhood Cancer team. Part of the team is located at a university and in a country that has great protests and civil unrest for the past few months, which has affected what they're able to do right now. We'll post an update once we have more information.

We will post a notice in the forum, create a notice in BOINC manager, post a website article, and possibly send out an email as well.

Now that the project has restarted, we've resumed our monthly calls with the research team. (We've been in touch with them informally during the project pause.)

1. As many of you have already seen in the latest project update, SCC restarted yesterday and has a new principal investigator. The previous principal investigator, Dr. Nakagawara, will remain as part of the team.
2. The research team continues to look for testing partners for the targets that WCG analysis has identified as promising.
3. The WCG developers think that work for the two proteins that volunteers are crunching now will last for at least several months, maybe longer. The researchers believe right now that they will have additional targets to study after that. We don't know if there will be a pause between the current work and future work.

We'll have data on the work unit status on the next update.
