Re: World Community Grid Moves to IBM Cloud

One of our first steps in our cut-over plan is to "Extend report deadline for all in progress results by 2 days".

This will address any issues with results that might become overdue while clients are unable to access the website.

How are you planning on handling the "out-of-order" trickles from FAH2?

Re: World Community Grid Moves to IBM Cloud

Max Download Limit, as currently set, with SCC1,HSTB,OET1,ZIKA selected the most I can cache is 2.3 days. This would be the bare minimum for an estimated 2 day outage, may want to look at raising the limit slightly

can you also extend max tasks per cpu core from 35 to 70 or to 100?
for users computing only short tasks like scc, zika, ebola?

Good suggestion. I second that. :)

The migration work is in no way related to the progress bars on the Research Page. Changes to the progress bars have to be discussed, designed, implemented, etc. And, at this time, that work is not planned to begin until later this year.

Thank you,
ErikaT

Thanks for the suggestion. Prior to migration we will temporarily up this limit to 70.

Thanks,

Re: World Community Grid Moves to IBM Cloud

Will sufficient WU will be sent to not overflow the available work?

vep, can you clarify what you mean here? If you want to make sure you have enough work in your queue to cover the outage you may need to modify your settings to increase the number of tasks you download. To accomplish this set the "Cache n extra days of work" to 1 or 2 to be safe.

Thanks,
armstrdj
