Agreed. Solicitation and proselytizing are pretty much the same thing, especially as regard to effect.

Actually, proselytizing is worse. If a telemarketer phones me about an electricity company, etc, there's maybe a 1% chance I'll be interested. If a telemarketer phones me selling religion or politics, there's a 0% chance I want to hear about it.

(Especially annoying in Australia is that the "do not call" list that you can put your phone number on is legally binding for companies, but not for religious or political organisations, which means that the two types of telemarketing call that I absolutely never want are the ones that can't be stopped.)

I find it funny that the OP has quoted an offensive signature, thereby preserving the quote on these forums long after the US political cycle has ended when, presumably, the signature will change. (And, I guess, I have too. ) Unless the OP is really trying to echo the quoted sentiment in a well-disguised ruse. And, the OP is from Australia, just like iocane powder. Which means, the OP is probably expecting me to realize I should not trust him and be wary of this ruse, in which case the OP is indeed outraged by the quoted signature. But that's probably the exact conclusion the OP wants me to arrive at so that the OP can feign outrage while really promoting the message.
