Received 215 Beta WUs. Was able to successfully restart 132 of them. The others either never checkpointed, errored out or I didn't catch the checkpoint. Recap: WU Status Nbr Avg CPUT You were fortunate enough to get a bunch of the 1 good batch. Every one of the 190 I received errored out although probably 2/3 of them were resends. I'm still getting them today. ![]()

It was blind luck. I had 6 devices looking for work when they were first released. The only thing I got on my others devices were the bad batches.

Although batch E236234 ran with a reasonably low error rate, the majority of the other batches contained incorrectly formatted input files that caused them to fail. The Harvard researchers will correct this problem and resubmit batches to us to run in beta again.

They were both "no reply" tasks. So far they both have 5 hours of runtime but neither of them have check pointed yet. Going to let they carry on for now.

Any time frame for the new batches? "Soon" - We've already received the corrected batches from Harvard and are working on our end to prepare them to run in beta. Seippel |

I wasn't sure which of the many threads on the CEP2 beta to use, but this seemed most apposite.
I'm not surprised that there are still a fair few beta results sitting in my list, but I've been going through the CEP2 ones trying to work out why, when my machines' WUs were chopped at the 18-hour limit, I was sometimes credited and sometimes not. The general answer seems to be that, if everyone else got an "error" status, for whatever reason, I got credited; otherwise I didn't. Well, that's annoying, but kinda understandable. But then I found this baby: Result Name OS type OS version App Version Number Status Sent Time Time Due / Return Time CPU Time / Elapsed Time (hours) Claimed/ Granted BOINC Credit BETA_ E236224_ 882_ S.328.C37H29N1O3S2Si1.CVSHHZNTPRXWJW-UHFFFAOYSA-N.7_ s1_ 14_ 4-- Microsoft Windows 8.1 Enterprise x64 Edition, (06.03.9600.00) 700 Valid 03/03/16 22:44:26 05/03/16 05:59:10 18.00 374.1 / 2,619.0 BETA_ E236224_ 882_ S.328.C37H29N1O3S2Si1.CVSHHZNTPRXWJW-UHFFFAOYSA-N.7_ s1_ 14_ 3-- Microsoft x64 Edition, (10.00.10586.00) 700 Error 02/03/16 13:08:24 04/03/16 01:56:15 18.00 530.1 / 0.0 BETA_ E236224_ 882_ S.328.C37H29N1O3S2Si1.CVSHHZNTPRXWJW-UHFFFAOYSA-N.7_ s1_ 14_ 2-- Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Edition, (06.01.7600.00) 700 Error 01/03/16 16:03:34 02/03/16 13:08:18 18.00 555.5 / 0.0 BETA_ E236224_ 882_ S.328.C37H29N1O3S2Si1.CVSHHZNTPRXWJW-UHFFFAOYSA-N.7_ s1_ 14_ 1-- Microsoft Windows XP Home x86 Edition, Service Pack 3, (05.01.2600.00) 700 Error 20/02/16 10:35:17 22/02/16 12:47:53 18.00 210.0 / 0.0 BETA_ E236224_ 882_ S.328.C37H29N1O3S2Si1.CVSHHZNTPRXWJW-UHFFFAOYSA-N.7_ s1_ 14_ 0-- Microsoft Windows 10 Core x64 Edition, (10.00.10586.00) 700 Valid 20/02/16 10:35:01 23/02/16 09:14:27 18.00 374.1 / 374.1 It looks reasonable too, until you look at the _0 WU's message log. It was chopped at 18 hours, but got credit anyway. All the others apart from the _4 WU hit the limit too, but the _4 WU was granted a ridiculous amount of credit for getting to the end. All very weird! |
