NOTHING to do with the problem of the OP. Search for threads discussing the Peer cert problem... Debian Jessie has an issue [bug], where it is not able to find the proper certificate. Workaround is offered in those Peer Cert. threads. Specifically there's a post on the matter in the Community maintained FAQ's forum. You are correct. I found the solution here: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/...825_lastpage,yes#lastpost I downloaded the ca-bundle.crt file from the link in the forum thread, renamed the old ca-bundle.crt in /var/lib/boinc-client/ to get it out of the way, and then put the new file in its place. Well I tried one more time and Uninstalled and reinstalled and it worked immediately........weird !!
