Tasks stopped

I have been using WCG for over a year and all has been working well....receiving 10,000 to 20,000 points per day. About 3 days ago, tasks stopped and I see on the BONIC screen:
"Waiting to contact project servers"

I have uninstalled and reinstalled WCG and reset, with no results....I still see the screen as above.

Please advise or correct.

Re: Tasks stopped

I just downloaded WCG again and this time clicked on 'repair' and then restarted my puter and I still see on the BONIC manager screen: "Waiting to contact project servers". And still no tasks running. The mystery continues.....

What's a mother to do now??

Re: Tasks stopped

When it says: "Waiting to contact project servers".....does that mine WCG is waiting or is it waiting for me to do something? If I have to do something.....what is it I have to do??

Re: Tasks stopped

Hit the Ctrl+Shift+E keys simultaneous. That brings up the event log. Copy the whole and paste it in a reply. Till then we're pretty clueless why that message is repeated, which can be up to 24 hours.

I have an identical or similar issue on Debian Jessie with all updates run daily.

Computation stopped for a couple weeks now.

This appears to be an SSL issue. From /var/lib/stdoutdae.txt:

Re: Tasks stopped

After several french inserts...

2/19/2016 1:12:59 PM | World Community Grid | Requesting new tasks for CPU
2/19/2016 1:13:01 PM | World Community Grid | [error] Can't parse task in scheduler reply: unexpected XML tag or syntax

2/19/2016 2:27:16 PM | | Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site

The "Can't parse... No close tag in scheduler reply" we know and has been pestering many a member, but

Fetching configuration file from http://boinc.unex.es/extremadurathome/get_project_config.php

What the heck is this?

If you don't know [account manager or whatever], then uninstall BOINC, delete in the File Explorer the below directory and everything in

Data directory: C:\ProgramData\BOINC

including any subdirectory.

Then boot the machine and newly install the client 7.2.47.

20-Feb-2016 01:07:12 [World Community Grid] Scheduler request failed: Peer certificate cannot be authenticated with given CA certificates

NOTHING to do with the problem of the OP. Search for threads discussing the Peer cert problem... Debian Jessie has an issue [bug], where it is not able to find the proper certificate. Workaround is offered in those Peer Cert. threads. Specifically there's a post on the matter in the Community maintained FAQ's forum.
