Re: WU Availability

Just be sure, after the beta is moved to production, the progress percent will go down again. Highly confusing but if new batch data gets loaded, there's per uplinger a big backlog, the formula will then take 30 days to home in on a new forward looking point.

Re: WU Availability

I had a BETA WU and it is now stuck on "Uploading" and has been for hours. Guess it's an 18 hour wasted unit :/

Re: WU Availability

Why don't you check first in the Beta Test Support Forum? The uploading problem is affecting all CEP2 beta units until the relevant server is kicked. Whether the task reached 18 hours or not is totally separate; you could tell by looking at the Tasks tab in BOINC Manager (Advanced View), selecting the task and hitting Properties. It's not wasted if it completes the first sub-job (most easily: wait until it does report, then look at the Result Log).

Re: WU Availability

Hi:

I have noticed that the progress indicator has moved from 88% to 89%. Is the project getting closer to resuming normal crunching operations?

Re: WU Availability

I have run CEP2 for ages, and then stopped getting work units. It is listed as an intermittent project (or some such name), so I could accept that. But I now notice on the requirements list that for Linux systems, only 32-bit (x86) processors are supported. Yet I have presumably returned 1829 work units on my four-core Xeon machine that is 64-bits. I do have a 32-bit compatibility library system available that works just fine for Climate Prediction.

Is my problem that there are just no work units available? Or is it that you no longer support x86_64 systems even though you used to (at least with the 32-bit compatibility libraries)?

Re: WU Availability

The problem is not your machine. There are just no work units available for anyone at the moment. When they will resume is unknown at this time.
Cheers

Re: WU Availability

Jean-David, there hasn't been any WU's for CEP2 for a very long time (the last WU being returned on the 5th of May 2016). Hopefully the issue that put this project on hold will be resolved soon (probably after a Beta or two).

Re: WU Availability

Any updates on the resumption of crunching on this project?
