Three betas have completed so far on the dual boot Q6600 @ 3.2 GHz.
17.07, 17.09, & 17.25 = 17.14 avg Much better than the almost 24 hour average of previous betas, and not far behind the 16.05 average with Win Vista on 4 production tasks. |

Got one on a 32 bit Fedora 18 machine that ran a production wu in 58.2 hrs and it looks like this beta wu is on track to complete in about 41.3 hrs total.

OK, I have some early results from the Opterons now (the WUs have progressed to the 8-10% mark so far)
Opteron 6168 50.0 -> 29.9h (-40%) Opteron 6376 45.8 -> 21.2h (-54%) So the speedups are even more impressive here than on the Intels...! Both rigs run openSUSE 13.2. |

Hi everybody,
----------------------------------------from the 12 received beta WUs, the last one is closed to be completed after nearly 19 hours. The other WUs were computed within 15.25 - 17.50 hours. [edit] Granted credits seem to be better (the number of point now is varying from WU to WU, not a fixed value anymore). The credit accuracy seems to be better as well. [/edit] From a computation time point of view, it is a good improvement since the previous beta WUs as well as production WUs required between 26 and 30 hours computation. Since the concerned hosts are based on Phenom II x6, I cannot make any assumption regarding HT impact. We are on the right way, even if 18 hours is still far from 13 hours on Windows. Looking forward to observing and testing the next improvement, Yves ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by KerSamson at Oct 10, 2015 1:46:16 AM] |

my BETAs finished within 16-17h, which is a big step from 24-25h...same E8200 dual-core CPU!
----------------------------------------still the 350-400 points is nowhere near Win version! but time optimization is better... |

Units are now finishing in 25 hours or less so far on Xeon 5320 and 5405 running Linux Mint 14 and 16 where they would be around the 40 hour mark previously.
