So an interesting thing,
----------------------------------------Gridcoin has since 7 OCT gone from about 2 million points, to almost 4 million points 7 NOV. I saw a guy in TWO days caught up to me on page 2, the next day he was near the top of page two, (I moved up one or two positions lol). By the way there are 14 pages of people on that team. Lots of new blood in last month. No interest has been shelled out in quite a while, like 2 weeks. I wonder how they are doing that. Anyway this is just all for fun, if I can buy a computer part someday with any coin I've earned, it will have been worth my time. In hind sight, I shouldn't have bought the 6 core I7 5820... Too much power draw, should have waited for the I7 6700k, same faster memory for 95 TDP vs 140 TDP for the 6 core. Also clock speed much faster at 4ghz vs 3.5 (I think) for the 5820. The passmark score was 11,000 for the 6700K, 13000 for the I7 5820. for the work done, 50% less power for 20% less work... Oh well. You live you learn  |

I still do not understanding this "system".. HOW to receive(get) money from this "worldgridcommunity ' when running my computer on my time ? I did choosing this Ripple Team BUT NO IDEA by now (tried find it out..) HOW this works here... How can get "paid" for this ? Thanx for an clearing answer and greetings ! mysty |

Okay... I'll come down off the fence...
----------------------------------------I just created a wallet and switched my WCG, Seti, and Poem teams over to Gridcoin. We'll see where this goes... all proceeds will cover electricity and new GPU cards... and offset my next build. If it doesn't pan out, I was planning to keep donating my money to the cause anyways. Thank you for the informative link! It says I'll earn about $0.25 USD per day... so that's $7.50 USD per month. I'll gladly take that as it was more than I was making yesterday which was zero.
---------------------------------------- Definitely won't cover electricity, but it will take some of the sting out. I'll sit on the coins anyways for a while... maybe they'll be worth $380 USD per coin like bitcoin someday. haha |
