As there are info'd 2,000,000 steps in a string, then why is 200000 not numbered 0200000? Simple: Not my problem ;P Sek, as you mentioned, why not use a leading zero. I like that idea, but the fact is we don't exactly know if it's going to be 2million, 3million or even 10million as the researchers may change that value over the course of the project. So, I'm going to work on adding it to go to 99million :) Thanks, -Uplinger |

with 140 cores running I got 4 so far:

Memory use moderate but variable, much improved virtual mem use, checkpointing every 1% (which seems good considering the 32 hour runtime or more of some of mine), on linux all above 99.8% cpu efficiency (with <no priority change>1), 12.2 points/hour vs 18.2 on mcm which is probably related to the <fraction_done_exact/> not working and projected time being off by so much. Otherwise, so far so good with progress ~70% in 18 hours on first one Edit: I am wondering how the results returned stats will see these "segmented uploads" though  [Edit 2 times, last edit by OldChap at Aug 27, 2015 1:21:27 PM] |

----------------------------------------15% completed after 1 hour 15 minutes I went to the "Results Status" page to see if I got any more and saw just my one, "in progress" with "CPU Time / Elapsed Time (hours)" already showing "0.78 / 0.00" and claimed/granted credit shows 38.8 / 0.0. Seems to be the trickle-up messages as the log shows I sent off two files. Best of luck with the testing!  |

Joking aside, it's of course not 100% possible to determine the how manyeth task it is in the series leading to the 2M step completion. If every following task would do the 100K in full, the last task will only hold 30K steps. As uplinger pointed out it's though not certain how many there will be in a series... eventually the result history will show where this is going.
For now, think this is going to fold into the FA@H pool, no new feed/option on the device profile/my projects pages, so those in chase can soon relax. |
